Have you been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia usually occurs in women of childbearing age although men, children and the elderly may also be affected.

It is a chronic disorder characterized by musculoskeletal pain, fatigue and tender points.  These tender points occur in precise locations, particularly in the neck, spine, shoulders and hips.

When the spine is not properly aligned, the body is left vulnerable to a number of illnesses, including fibromyalgia. Chiropractic care seeks to resolve painful conditions by correcting the misalignments (also known as subluxations) in the spine in order to ensure optimal health.

In addition to practicing traditional chiropractic care, Total Health Chiropractic incorporates Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP). CBP is based on concrete scientific findings and is focused on achieving functional outcomes by ensuring total spinal alignment and health.

A study in the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics stated that more than 60% of participants who had thirty chiropractic treatments showed significant reductions in pain intensity and improvement in their overall fatigue and quality of sleep.  A stressed nervous system will inevitably worsen the symptoms of fibromyalgia sufferers.

Total Health Chiropractic have seen exceptional results with clients who have previously been diagnosed with this condition.

Client testimonial

“I was suffering with severe pain all over my body and was tired every day.  After one month of treatment with Dr Errington, I have noticed so much improvementand so many changes.  I am much more relaxed and therefore have more energy.  My sleeping has also improved due to the fact that the pain in my back and shoulders has gone.  I fully intend to carry on with the programme of care that is recommended.”  PL
