Are you developing Arthritis?
Arthritis is a condition affecting the joints of the body, and more specifically, it refers to inflammation of the joints.
There are over one hundred forms of arthritis. However, the most common type is osteoarthritis; the weight-bearing bones of the back, neck, and spine is where osteoarthritis exists.
Mechanical stress is the cause of osteoarthritis in the back, neck, and spine. The spine is a load-bearing structure, and any misalignments will cause an inefficient distribution of weight. This misalignment will also cause excessive ‘wear and tear’ as the bones of the spine are forced to remodel. The bones will remodel to adapt to the abnormal loading. These spinal changes and stiffening that accompany them result in bone spurs, inflammation, thinning discs, and eventually nerve entrapment. If arthritis continues unabated, the spinal canal will become narrow, a severe condition known as spinal stenosis.
Symptoms caused by spinal arthritis may include:
Pain in the back, neck, shoulders, arms, and legs
Pain that is exacerbated by a movement, thus restricting mobility
Numbness and tingling
Possible bowel or bladder dysfunction
The benefits of Chiropractic Care for Arthritis
Incorrect alignment of the spine causes osteoarthritis (poor posture primarily). However, if we improve the movement and alignment of the spine, we can reliably expect positive changes, an easing of the pain and reduction of inflammation.
Misalignments are the leading cause of arthritis. Medication may briefly help relieve the symptoms, but unless you address the cause this potentially devastating condition must inevitably worsen.
At Total Health Chiropractic Singapore, during an initial full consultation which includes a thorough case history and any necessary orthopedic and neurological exams, our chiropractors first determine whether or not you are a suitable candidate for the conservative spinal care we offer.

The New Guidebook to Vibrant Health, Longevity and Maximized Potential
“I was horrified when I was shown the arthritis in my neck. No wonder I had so much pain and stiffness. My GP had previously given me anti-inflammatories which eased the pain for a while, but after 6 months or so it became even worse and I became scared at taking all those drugs.
A friend told me to try Dr. Tim Errington and I have to say.... it was the best thing I have done. After a few short weeks my pain is now almost completely gone and I have near-perfect movement again. Another thing that I didn't realize was related, is that my headaches have completely vanished. When it was all explained to me, it made complete sense and I now understand the importance of being in alignment. It's obvious really... can't believe I never thought of it before. ”
